Aung San Suu Kyi is a Burmese politician, diplomat, author, and1991 Nobel Peace Prize laureate who would have been President, but allowed only to be State Counsellor and Minister of Foreign Affairs, by technicality because she’s married to a foreigner. She is well-loved by her countrymen for her determined fight for their freedom and democracy.
